Born from a love for design, collaboration and hospitality, our space was built on the belief that creativity thrives in warmth. Once an abandoned shell, it’s now a curated home for photographers, designers, and creators. A place to create, connect, and belong.

SOURCE

SOURCE (formerly Home Is The Artist) began in 2021 as a simple question: What would a contemporary creative workspace look like if it felt more like a home? What followed was the transformation of an empty industrial shell next to Breda Central Station into a daylight studio shaped by design, community and curiosity. Founded by Sigrid as part of her graduation research into flexible creative workspaces, the studio grew steadily—welcoming freelancers, photographers, brands and young entrepreneurs. In 2023, Iris joined, strengthening both the hospitality of the space and the creative services we offer. Together, we continue to build SOURCE as a place where ideas are nurtured and connections are made.

Sigrid shapes the atmosphere of SOURCE with a deep love for design, mid-century furniture, taking care and collaboration. She created the studio from scratch and continues to guide its creative evolution with an honest, open mindset.

 

 

Iris Vermeij

With an intuitive eye and a calm, social presence, Iris creates captivating imagery across fashion, lifestyle and travel photography. As co-host of the studio, she makes every team feel welcomed and supported. Also, available for in-house photography.

Beyond the studio rental, we collaborate with brands and creatives on photography, art direction and branding. Combining Iris’ visual expertise with Sigrid’s design-led approach. From campaigns and events to social content and visual identities, we’re here to think along and create work that feels intentional.
